Linda Ravenscroft and Nemesis Now present the Fairy Flower Collection. This fantastic range of fantasy butterfly winged fairies sitting on beautiful flowers. Each fairy has a unique meaning behind it.
This fairy is called the Viola Pansy Fairy. The Viola Pansy Fairy symbolises Thoughtfullness. Shakespeare’s famous character Ophelia used the meaning of the pansy to express himself in Hamlet: “There’s rosesmary, that’s for remembrance; pray you, love, remember. And there is pansies, that’s for thoughts”. Legend tells that flower was originally white, and became bright purple where it was bruised by Cupid’s arrow. This accounts for the flower’s reputation of bringing about thoughts of loved ones.
