^VAN GOGH – STARRY NIGHT, C/8
Van Gogh’s most popular works are from the last two years of his life; a very turbulent and unstable time for him physically and mentally. It was during this time Van Gogh created Starry Night. Hospitalized, the painting reflects the view from his window although it is said he painted Starry Night from memory and imagination. The composition includes the village of Saint-Remy, with the church in the center of the village. Because of his evangelistic propensity, many believe this religious endeavor may be reflected in the eleven stars mentioned in Genesis 37:9.
