This lovely ornament is based on Ruth Thompson’s “Checkmate” piece and features “The White Queen.” Her mate is “Checkmate the Black King.” Her scales are tones of grey, light blue with white highlights. She looks out at the world through red eyes, displaying a pose with folded wings and arching neck. “The White Queen” is standing on a rock atop a clear glass globe that is slightly iridescent. She’s ready to fly into your life and protect your Christmas tree!
